About
In addition to their busy concert schedule, the Lithuanian National Philharmonic Society’s musicians constantly strive to deepen their professional knowledge and improve their skills. This is best reflected in the recent brass instrument masterclasses led by renowned professor Gábor Tarkövi. The masterclasses gave performers the opportunity to acquire knowledge and broad international experience.
Tarkövi is a renowned trumpeter who studied at the Richter János Conservatory and the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music. His field of activity is traditional brass music. He is currently a Professor at the Berlin University of the Arts, a soloist and chamber music performer giving concerts all over the world.
This concert featuring musical works spanning centuries, from Michael Praetorius and Henry Purcell to Leonard Bernstein, John La Barbera, and Mirco Magnani performed by the brass section of the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra is a great opportunity to get to know brass instruments, their different timbres and expressive possibilities.
