About

The Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra invites the listeners to get to know the Orchestra better. It has become a wonderful tradition to organise an annual musical feast allowing to take a closer look at the Orchestra. This is probably the only day of the year when the members of this Orchestra take to the stage of the Philharmonic Concert Hall as soloists or even composers. A whole host of talented performers are on stage to demonstrate their skills as soloists with the orchestra. What makes this concert so interesting and unique is that many rarely performed works are presented or even premiered. Orchestra members, from string players to wind players, from the first violin section to the bass section, perform solo accompanied by their colleagues under the baton of the Orchestra’s artistic director and principal conductor Modestas Pitrėnas. Such a thrilling experience only happens once a year!
