About
The dynamic Arpanatolia trio began their journey as a Duo: harpist Çağatay Akyol (who performed at the Lithuanian National Philharmonic Concert Hall last year) and Ferhat Erdem, who plays folk instruments. Their first concert took place in the presence of the Queen of the Netherlands during the “Expo-2012” event. A year later, with the addition of a third member, Cemal Özkiziltaş, the Trio’s concert activities expanded, and their tours took them to concert halls and festivals not only in Turkey but also in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Bulgaria, Hungary, Italy, Canada, Japan, China, and other countries. The travel itineraries of this globally beloved ensemble now include Lithuania! At the festival, they will present their unique programme, stemming from the musical heritage of the Anatolian region, the wisdom of bards, and the intricacies of exotic sounds. Here, the modern harp meets traditional instruments dating back millennia, weaving mysterious melodies that intertwine joy, sorrow, and the eternal search for the ideal of beauty.
