About
The Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra invites listeners to get to know it better. The annual celebration organized by the LNSO has become a wonderful tradition, inviting listeners to take a closer look at this ensemble. This is probably the only day of the year when the musicians of this orchestra take to the stage of the National Philharmonic Concert Hall as soloists or even composers. A whole group of talented performers demonstrate their skills as soloists with the orchestra. This concert is also interesting and unique in that it features many rarely performed works and even premieres. The orchestra members, from string players to wind players, from the first violin section to the bass section, perform solo accompanied by their colleagues under the baton of Modestas Pitrėnas, the orchestra’s artistic director and principal conductor. Such a thrilling experience only happens once a year!
