The National M. K. Čiurlionis School of Art Symphony Orchestra, in existence for more than 20 years, regularly presents striking programmes and has a long-standing tradition of appearing at the National Philharmonic Concert Hall every spring. The Orchestra’s repertoire gives preference to classical, romantic and 20th century opuses, and there is always room for works by Lithuanian composers.

This concert is marked by a double dedication: to the 80th anniversary of the M. K. Čiurlionis National School of Art and to the jubilee year of Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis. Thus, the brightest young musicians will present compositions by Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis, his teacher Carl Reinecke, his contemporary Ralph Vaughan Williams and the exciting contemporary French composer and percussionist Emmanuel Séjourné, that will draw you into a whirlpool of fun communication through music.
