Dear Festival participants and audience,

For the fifth time, the Vilnius Festival will fill our capital city with an ocean of classical and contemporary music sounds. During its relatively short existence, the event has taken up a leading position in the musical life of Lithuania, and has appeared on the touring schedule of world famous artists. Today, therefore, we can speak of a truly great international event in Lithuanian culture.

In our openness to the world, to different music styles and manner of performance, in presenting our national art in the context of the best authors and musicians from abroad, we are confidently aware of our integral role in a world culture tradition.

I extend my greetings to the Vilnius Festival – a heartfelt celebration in a beautiful city at the cross-roads of Eastern and Western culture.
