Among the highlights of the 14th Vilnius Festival are the prominent artists who have already left an unfading mark on the musical life of Lithuania and the internationally renowned musicians whose names have not yet been inscribed in the festival’s hall of fame.
This edition of the festival invites its audiences to experience the exceptional acts of musical art in the form of piano, lute and voice recitals, a cheerful big band project and a technically dazzling performance of the chamber orchestra. The idea of intercultural dialogue links the festival’s opening and closing concerts, in which the performers born in Far Eastern countries will present their renditions of the Western classical music repertoire.
