About
What is a conductor needed for? How are the members of the orchestra feeling? Why the instruments called horns are arranged in the last rows of the orchestra? What is a concert? Can I try to conduct?
We answer YES because you will be able to experience what it means to conduct an orchestra. In the open orchestral music lesson, you will enrich your knowledge of instruments, orchestra, music works, and will hear interesting stories from the life of musicians.
Those who want to get acquainted with the orchestra will learn what makes the orchestral texture, hear the orchestra without one or another group of instruments, learn about the subordination and ethics of the orchestra members, discover what the specific language of the musicians is, see how the musicians clap when their hands are busy, learn what the wind players do during pauses. You will see real instruments up close, and the most curious and courageous ones will be able to conduct the orchestra! It is never too late to start getting acquainted with classical music.
